Symantec releases Norton Antivirus 2011 and Norton Internet Security 2011

Symatec says that up to 65 percent of Internet users worldwide fall victim to cybercrime. For Filipino users, however, the rate is much worse at 87 percent. So, the next time you and your family and friends surf the Internet, it won't hurt if you'd keep in mind that you could be just a click away from becoming a cybercrime victim.

The Norton AntiVirus 2011 comes with an antispyware tool.
It's a good thing that computer security technology providers are working tirelessly to develop tools and applications designed to protect us and our computers from these cybercriminals and their shenanigans.

On September 21, Norton from Symantec released the 2011 versions of the Nortin AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security solutions. Norton claims this suite has achieved a 100-percent protection score in a test conducted by Dennis Labs, a provider of third-party security-system testing services. Test results showed that the Norton security products perform better and faster than the industry average.

Earlier, Norton has released the Norton Power Eraser, a free tool that is designed to target and eliminate fake antivirus or what the industry calls "scareware" applications.

I am installing a copy of the Norton Internet Security 2011 on my home desktop PC.
Norton AntiVirus 2011 offers the following key benefits: it protects users from malware without "sacrificing performance" with fast, powerful antivirus protection; it stops viruses, spyware, and other online threats before they can do damage; it prevents cybercrooks from eavesdropping and stealing personal information; and it stays safe with up-to-minute protection.

Some of its new features include the Norton reputation-based security, which instantly checks where files came from and how long they have been around to identify and stop new malware faster than less sophisticated security software can; proactive performance alerts inform users when an application is slowing down the computer; the Norton Control Center manages program controls, settings, and information about the computer's system status, protection, and performance.

Meanwhile, I am installing a copy of the Norton Internet Security 2011 application. I'll let you know how it performs in about a week or two. Stay tuned.
